The Unexpected: The Twenty Two, London
Daniel Malarkey is delighted to have curated a selection of works for The Twenty Two, London, drawn from private collections.
There is something disarming about encountering the unexpected - the sense of possibility and discovery so characteristic of the world’s grandest hotels, only a few of which are left today, is all too rare. The Twenty Two is one of those hotels that possesses this quality and inspired me to create an immersive artistic experience.
Central to this presentation is the idea of Gesamtkunstwerk, the synthesis of all arts. This is an environment in which chance meetings - with people, art and objects - occur, and the images on the wall imprint themselves in our minds in ways that can only be described as THE UNEXPECTED.
